Hi

I'm fitting a modern radio and want to make sure that both my permanent and switched-live feeds are protected by fuses, so can someone sense-check that I've got this right please...

I have the early six-fuse fusebox.

Looking at the box, the furthest right fuse is permanent live, with the input from the bottom, so the upper connections are the outgoing feeds that are protected by the fuse?

The fuse second from right (stop lights, indicators) is switched, with the input at the top, so the outgoing feeds, protected by that fuse are at the bottom? This is where I've picked up my switched live.

I've checked the wiring diagrams and I think I've got that right, but it seems counter-intuitive to have the inputs and outputs on different sides of the fusebox depending on the circuit, so can someone check my logic please?

The radio works and it has its own integral fuse, but I want to make sure that my feeds are protected by the appropriate fuses at the fuse board.

Thanks

Andy

Yes. One side is constant, the other fused.
