I am looking for a replacement front axle beam for my '69 SB. I thought I would post this to see what was out there. I'm located in Ontario Canada so shipping is $$$ for all the beams I found in the Classified section.
I might just be manufacturing a replacement if I can't find a good one soon. Can't be that hard.... famous last words |

Any Type 3 beam will work- no need for it to be a 69. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Can you repair your front beam? Replacement parts show up pretty regularly on the Classifieds. |

I think I've got a good type 3 beam (from Texas) out in the shed. I'm across the river from Sarnia, Ontario if it's any help. Don't know what it's worth, but it doesn't have the spindles or ball joints on it (it's a bare beam). _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

The shock tower and spline retaining plate are rotten and collapsed. One option would be to cut them off and make new solid plates to weld on. Another option would be to make a completely new beam from tube stock and plates... which is definitely possible, but loads of work, particularly with the bearings and such. |
