Hey now, I wasn't going to trash it. Somebody already did that.

Haha, I know... That wasnt really directed at you, more towards anybody who trashes useable junk.

Im pretty sure the wreck and mother nature did their fair share of trashing.

Have you had the chance to drag it out yet?

Well, saturday is no good for me, as I have several people from out of town coming up for a little get together.

I've sent you a few emails, but wasnt sure if you had gotten them. Im definately still down to get the car, and I would love to see more pics of it out in the open.

If you like, we can deal through emails... just so the post doesnt get cluttered up, but either way is fine for me.

slowlow, I'm cutting up a parts car, 58 or 59, but a lot of this may be usable to you. I'm in Cali but if you can figure a way, we can work something out. I already took the doors and I'm about to take the heater channels out, and of course the windshield. some of the metal may be easy enough to throw in a box

Damn, that could have been a nice car;why did you cut it up?

it's not cut up yet. it's hit hard enough that there is a dent in the dash where the glove box lines up. see where the gas tank goes? that wave? yeah try fixing that, it goes all the way to the dash. I have a 60 vert I'm building and I need heater channels, these are clean. Believe me, I would have used this car if it was nicer. it is also missing the vin tag

If anyone has vert heater channels, original, for my '60, with good vert supports and including where the top of the heater channel meets the vert rear seat bar, and the whole piece of metal from the dash down to the heater grills, I will gladly trade this car for them

Maybe it's the angle but that window sure looks too tall to be an oval window. I could be wrong though.

Maybe you should try the classifieds where that sort of thing belongs. Or do the right thing and sell them with the car.

SLOWLOW, you should scoop this up for parts!

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=553268

Kinda far from LA, but $500 for a possibly good dash, front clip, windshield.

Hello,
Sam and I have not come together yet as he has had a death in his family.
I sent him some pictures which he will then decide whether he wants to come see the car in person. This Frankenbug might scare him away. Laughing
He said he also needed a trailer to haul it. Anybody help him out??
Rolling Eyes
I've had some people interested in the car but for now it has Sam's name on it till I hear from him....

Oh yeah, all he wanted was the shell. I am selling some parts that we already agreed I'd keep. ( to make my money back.)

I needed some quick cash so I decided to sell my stuff.
I am going Saturday to pick up an original ragtop beetle. Very Happy

Yea, sadly Ive had a death in the family.

Ive been away quite a bit, but I have checked the pics. Really as I stand right now, I may have to hold off.... but nothing is final.

If someone else is interested in it, by all means dont let me hold anything up!
