My BC/CC is about 2mo old and I got tree sap on the nose of the bus and can't seem to remove it. It looks and feels like it's melted into the paint! Shocked I was thinking about using mineral spirits but don't know how that will effect the paint? BTW I still need to color sand and buff the nose but would like to remove the sap first.

Kerosene or diesel fuel will also work.

Turpentine is magic for this and won't harm your paint at all.

Ammonia or an ammoniated cleaner will dissolve the sap.
