Today is the last day that I will own my "rat"1970/71ish bus. I have traded it for a 1972 Type3 squareback....
When I find the right Single or double cab, I'll be back....
Of course I'll still be trolling the bay forum....

It was a difficult decision, in the end the square won. Like I mentioned earlier, waiting on the SC or DC bay to rear it's beautiful head...
lol

I don't know but I heard they have cookies.
Good luck with your squareback and the hunt for a SC/DC. I'd love to own one someday also. _________________ Check out my Westy resto. thread.

Thanks guys.... I love all vw's... Aircooled that is.... I'll have another some day.
I like the older t3's but will have to settle for a fat chick...lol... I'm definitely not a purist so this one will have some non stock parts, I'm sure...
I hope they do have cookies on the dark side...

At least ya didn't get a Honda or some other Fast and Furious wanna be. Best of luck with the T-3. A squareback is my next purchase if I can't find a Thing for a decent price. Hey, you could buy a Fridolin and have the best of both worlds, a Type 3 / Type 2 love child. _________________ 73 Tin Top Westy ( should have never sold her)

We shall see... I've had a couple ghias and a couple beetles in the past. So far I've liked my bus the best. If I don't like the square, I'll sell it. Buy another bus. Who knows....
I'm still following your build thread Geno.....

i had a 67 square, what a comfy, fun and pretty quick (for what it was) car. i totally restored it top to bottom, but the car was possesed. it absolutely hated me. every time the fucker heard the keys jingle, it broke. i started calling it the hunchback, as thats where i spent most of my time, hunched over the back of it. the curse of the car has spread to my scanner, sorry for the poor pix
