I just wanted to say hello to everyone and that I look forward to the new adventure that awaits.

My wife gave me two options, oval/rag bug or a 21/23 window bus. We looked at a few ovals and she always gravitated back to the type 1 buses, so we kept looking, and looking, and looking... No more searching now!

I will be bring this gem home in about a week once life affords me the opportunity to make a run with the trailer.

I own/operate a part time biz that specializes in just about anything car fabrication/restoration related. Been working on English & Euro cars with my old man for many years and plenty of late model customs, rods, race cars, etc...

The goal is a near stock resto, a few upgrades, and a slightly lower stance. She will get driven plenty I'm sure of it! For now it'll be a rolling resto of the full mechanicals, then onto the sheet metal work.

Other cars in our garage include: 59' Caddy coupe, 53' F100, 93' Toyota Supra, and the daily VW's and an Audi.

Nice find, it looks pretty solid to start with, mostly the passenger side rocker under the doors?

Skylight metal / rain gutter will need some love.
Pretty typical though & an awesome find!!
It looks very straight overall.
Those are cool hinged drink trays on the bulkheads.
Looking forward to watching it develop!
