interesting ad I found today in europes leading Classic Car Bible "Oldtimer Markt". It says:

Original 1939 VW, Limousine, orig. 19200km, 985 cc engine, compl.car, untouched w/o rust through issues, was stored the last 70 years in a garage, offers, Neubiberg-München area

sounds exiting, maybe one of 18 built VW39 cars?

How old is the ad? Is it still possible to contact the person who placed the ad using the contact information they provided? If not, then it's probably going to be impossible to determine if it's a VW39.

I also found that advert yesterday in the afternoon, when i took the Magazine out of my letterbox and I was really shocked!

I don´t know, if it would have excited me more, when I would have read the message, that visitors from outer space came down to earth...

But both Events seem to be similarly impossible ...

BUT!

It could be true...

And if it is , we surely have to indicate it as a Sensation Wink

If not, I hope we can find out this Little jokester...

Greetings from good old Germany Wink

99,9999 % bullshit.

And if not. We don´t have to care anyway.
Then it ends up at Grundmanns. Law of nature.

Sorry but this thread is priceless without pics:-) I agree with Usariemen but it would be great to hear the story, see the pics...smell the atmosphere and have another ongoing "find" topic as with VW38 car:-)

According to Bjoern Schewes's post on Facebook the car in question is not a 1939 but a 1947 - a cool find in its own right....

Here is the ad for the "1939"

http://www.kleinanzeigen.oldtimer-markt.de/anzeige/VW_Sonstige_Automarkt-28981.html

and here is the 1947

If the car from the add exists. It can´t be that one.
This link is three years old. And I think I remember to have seen that car
on pics in an old building along with a Kübel.
So if someone offers a "fresh find out of a Garage" it is an other one or fake.

the question is, if I where the seller I do know how to spell my town where I live. Why does this seller dont know the correct name for the town Neubiberg? I still think it is a fake.

Yes, you probably remember seeing that car in this thread:

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=546672

Looks like it's where they got the photos for their ad, as well.
