Post a pic of the color you are referring to, or at least the year/model, it came on.
The only one that comes to mind is pacific blue which looked more like mint green. |

Like L380 Turquoise?
Me, I've always liked Gulf Blue...
Color chips are only as good as the scanner that scanned them, and the way your monitor is set up, but here's some vintage ones:

Thanks a lot...I think I find it: SEA BLUE (I see the "sea blue" pictures and I cant believe how diferent looks fron one image to other...I like darker images ).
Did the color changes from one year to another (The car I see is 1965 ).
Thanks |

You like darker images? Well, here's a darker image of Sea Blue - from a factory brochure:

|

Dear VW friend,
You sent that picture of a beetle with that link:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=320931
You wrote it is a L380...
Are you sure?
On that link there are few paint that I like...
I have an 11 windows bus from 1959 and I have trouble to choose a color.
I find the one you set on that link nice...
The problem is that I have few sample from a painter with the exact reference brushed on a sample paper and it doesn't look the same...
In fact, I am looking for a paint with a "summer spirit" keeping a little bit the oldtimer effect...
I want to do the bus like original but I am not against a small customisation later keeping the original color...
I hope I am clear enough... If you have in mind another paint which could have that effect, that would be nice...
Best regards and thank you for your help!

He asked me that question in an email as well, and this was my reply:
Well, that was one I found in the gallery. Color chips are always subjective.... the scanner or camera settings, lighting, fading of the chips themselves, etc. Same with photos of cars, plus the accuracy of whomever mixed the color of paint that's on the car. Also the settings of your own monitor.
Here have a look at all the other photos you get when you search the Gallery for L380:
