I've looked everywhere in and around my engine case and can't find them. Does anyone know where the oil control valve and oil pressure relief valves are on a Type 4?

On th ebottom of the engine and look like they need a really big screwdriver to unscrew them.

If you are a GE engine code, you only have one.

The oil pressure by-pass valve is located drivers side rear of the engine. Access from below - looks like a large screwdriver slot. If you have a tool that fits great. I ended up using a dull chisel to tap it loose.

The oil pressure relief valve is located on the passenger side of the motor between the underside of the cylinders. Will need to remove the stone shield tin to see it. A 3/8 drive extension will fit in there. Like the previous post stated, the relief valve was eliminated in when when they went to hydraulic lifters.
