When sincing the carbs we know you remove the linkage but the linkage from the top of carb to the bottom has alot of pull on it should it? it seems like it should be resting without preasure. PO put the dual carbs on it and not sure if he knew what he was doing Please help

I can't believe that no one on this forum can answer this question i've got more replies on the ford forum about a volkswagon Come on guys STEP UP your looking pretty bad this can't be the first time this question has come up or all your VWs are adjusted wrong.

Watch your mouth little guy! I just need some info. They are solex 32 Pdsit It's the short linkage from the top of the carb to the throttle shaft I assume There is supposedly a spec for the length but can't seem to find it in any of the books we have.

You don't adjust them. They are set to a length at the factory. But according to my Blue Bentley, the length is 99mm +- .2mm (3.89 inches +- .008).
