ok so the body shop has filled a few holes that i decided weren't necessary, since im giving it a 67 style. these include dash holes... oh s**t bar holes, the air vents and a few more. i am also removing the chrome strip and vw symbol on the front so all of those holes are being filled. also the little rounded parts where stock exhausts go, will be filled

You also had them remove the tac and fill up the hole for the top boot. Are you not planning on using one? |

What happened to the OG fenders? Cal look treatment without the moldings. I did that back in the early 90s with my 61rag. _________________ Just Cruzin Sur Califas VW Car Club est♤1998 |

as of now, i do not plan to use them, generally the fillings were done to give the big a cleaner look to it, almost cal look, but with some of my own ideas thrown it. the bumpers are going to be 67 blades with the little over riders _________________ '65 sedan (SOLD)

Hot Damn! That's going to be Spicy! I always wonder why people redo these seemingly fine cars, but then in the end i usually understand _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=366056 - My '73 Super Build. 2332cc, 16" Fuchs |

ahah yea i thought the same thing, but i never saw my car as "fine"
it started out that my engine had a really big leak and after replacing all of the nuts under there where the leak was, i got sick of it and started looking for a new motor. my uncle said he would help me build a high performance 2110 so i agreed. so we were definately swapping the engine. then as i began driving during the rainy seasons, water would make its way to everything i loved. all four of my speakers. no big deal, it was a waste of money but i could still drive, then i pulled my headlight switch and smoke came out of it! obviously my car was not waterproof, so it was time to get a new top and new rubbers. then i realized, ive got like 2 main areas the bug was crashed into, and at least 15 dents going both in and out. so i talked to my dad and decided with the graduation money i would be getting, plus my job's money i might as well go for it. so now it begins =] _________________ '65 sedan (SOLD)

Ditto. Were the OG fenders trashed? Looks good regadless. I would have tracked down some OG german fenders, but then again I have hate towards Empi of today.... _________________ ITMC-El Presidente

today im going down to the body shop to give them some seals, like the bonnet seal and stuff so that when they put the main stuff back on it doesnt rattle too much on the way home. is that a good sign or what!? _________________ '65 sedan (SOLD)
