My 1976 Bay was missing the heat control levers, which I found at many sources. It seems there is a clip and a button that attach the levers to the control rods behind the dash??? I have found pictures but not one with the lever attached, nor can I find those clips anywhere? Any help/photos would be appreciated.
Thanks,

A 76 should use the plastic levers, no clips or springs required for those:

I have a 76 and the levers just push on / pull off and are a snug fit. _________________ *******************************

So what connects the to the levers? Not slotted? I am missing something obvious here!! _________________ 1976 Bay, 1974 Thing, 1979 Vert Bug, 1973 Super, 1968 Beetle, 1967 split Brazilian Kombi |

Heater lever with dimple, assuming the plastic lever attaches there? _________________ 1976 Bay, 1974 Thing, 1979 Vert Bug, 1973 Super, 1968 Beetle, 1967 split Brazilian Kombi |

Thank you! I will look at the ones that came with the bus closer, but I think they may be for an earlier model.

So I am embarrassed to report that the levers I have that came with the bus are for 1973 and earlier, slotted, not push on. I ordered the correct one _________________ 1976 Bay, 1974 Thing, 1979 Vert Bug, 1973 Super, 1968 Beetle, 1967 split Brazilian Kombi |
