Im about to tear into my '70 Doublecab to start lifting it.

Im only curious will Type 4 CV's directly bolt on or will I have to replace something else?
I mean, will my Baywindow axle's work?

I originally planned to use 930's, but several posts say that the added $$ for the 3 degree difference isnt worth it

Ive replaced CV's but never mixed and matched before....
Any help is appreciated!

They are a bit wider but a direct bolt in.
I have them installed in my off road buggy.
I used aftermarket axles with a bit longer spline though.

^that is the T4 cv (thing style)... the cv is thicker than the T1 and T2 cv's so they need an axle with a longer spline. i have this set up on my bug... works real good!

You need a longer splined axle not a longer axle to run those thicker CVs.
You should have either 18-3/4" or 19-1/4" axles IIRC.
Most any performance VW dealer should have them or can get them.

^^ No No, I understood... just a typo on my part by not saying longer Splined.
