My wife and I are taking our 6 year old daughter down to the IWK in Halifax on Sunday for open heart surgery to repair her aortic valve and we're looking for all the prayers we can get. She had 5 defects repaired when she was 13 days old and we've been extremely fortunate so far to have been surgery free for the last 6 years, until now.
I'm confident that all will go well a few extra prayers can't hurt.

I will be praying for you Bvolks. It just breaks my heart when children have to go under the knife. I hope that all turns out well. Like I said before, your daughter will be in my prayers. As you and your wife also.

Man I have a 3 and half yr old and I can't imagine what it would be like to have to take her for a procedure like this, my families prayers goes out to yours, best wishes.
