Okay heres the problem. First of all i've noticed that when the headlights are switched on, the horn doesn't work and a few days ago i noticed my headlights weren't working so i switched on the high beams and they worked fine but tonight neither high nor low beams will turn on. any ideas?

also i've checked fuses and none of them seem to be blown

Is your van lighting system modified?

If yes, then look at the modifications, wiring, relays, connections.

If no, then use a meter to troubleshoot the switching operation at the headlight connectors. You may just need to clean and reconnect the plugs on the headlamps. Worse, you may have a fried or frying headlamp switch.

Okay here is what i did today... First i removed the the grill and tested the plugs for the lamps to see if they had power. They did not.

Then i tested the headlight switch, it had power. So next i tried to jump the power on the switch to all the other points but still no lights.

i personally suspect that it has to do with the dimmer switch on the steering column, which i messed around with a little, but i'm not sure how i can test to see if it is in fact the problem. The thing is, is that the little green light for the high beams still turns on in my instrument panel but it won't stay on.
