Will the pivot from an adjustable arm rest seats fit onto a non adjustable seat frame.
The pivots are physically different as the early units use a bolt to fasten on the armrests and the late models use a roll pin to fasten, as anyone that has done it know it is clearly a bitch.

Are you asking if arm rests can be upgraded to adjustable armrests?
Yes if you install everything, the pivot changes.
You need everything, you can not put an adjustable armrest on a regular armrest's mount.

I have successfully installed the adjustable armrests on a set of seats with non-adjustable armrests. Yes you do need the brackets for the adjustables to do it.
I felt like there was a correct way to mount the brackets. I put them on one way and it seemed like they pointed out to the sides more, than if I mounted the brackets the other way. I just cant remember how they were oriented.

The seat frames are the same, the armrest and its pivot can be exchanged from one model to another.

The adjustable armrest were made by ISRI, a manufacturer of sought after optional T3seats in Europe.
The adjustable armrest from a Hummer H1 is the same but not the pin attachment. Too bad they never detailed the parts , it`s the whole assembly or nothing...

I believe photos of me doing this exact job on my 85 Westy are in its thread showing how it all works along with orientation if needed.
