Has anybody ever seen a distributor cam wiper? I wonder if a retrofit kit exists.

I had an old Cadillac many years ago and whenever it was time to change the points, the distributor grease would go on the wiper. The wiper kept a film of grease on the cam and the rubbing block would have almost no wear on it, even after 5000 miles!

Maybe somebody might have seen a retro kit or even come up with something like it to put in our Bug dizzy's. Idea

On ours, you put the grease in front of the rubbing block, so as it wears, it lubes.

A cam wiper is a good idea. Contact Glenn if you need one for your Bosch distributor.

I have seen some on VW core distributors. They were aftermarket points by Echlin I believe.
