Hi,

A poll asking how many people who added an auxiliary heater (Webasto, Propex, Eberspacher, etc) also removed the factory heater under the rear bench seat.

I have a Propex to install and I will leave my rear heater in place. It provides great heat when the engine is running. The Propex is for use when we are stopped.

I kept the stock heater with my propex installed next to it.
When Im driving and I want rear heat, I dont want to waste propane. Also my propex thermostat is on the closet, cant reach it while driving, I often wish I could.

For a Diesel Van and a diesel Eberspacher, I would remove the rear heater, and mount the thermostat where I could reach it while driving, so I could control cabin heat in motion, same as I can with stock heater otherwise.

I took out the rear heater for extra space... I don't miss it. But it doesn't get that cold around here, and I rarely have passengers so the front blasters seem fine.
