I just ordered a bunch of Dayco J30/R9 fuel hose, 5/16". I would like to get these Oettinger crimp-style hose clamps
http://www.germansupply.com/home/customer/home.php?cat=455
but they are spec'd for 7mm. I'm hesitant to get the clamps since 5/16" is a bit bigger (almost 1 mm bigger) than the hose that the clamps are sized for. Does anyone know if this is a non issue or should I get different screw-style clamps? _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

You can get those in fractional sizes. Commonly referred to as Oetinger clamps. Even good hardware stores will have them.
McMaster lists them as "pinch hose and tube clamps" and has them in SS to boot.

Thanks. I googled it to make sure I had it right and that's what it autofilled.
You are correct. |

The hose clips in the link should fit but to be sure you can measure the OD of the hose. Those clips are stainless. The shielded type clips are the best way to clamp fuel hoses IMO. _________________ SL |
