I figured I should start a thread on my new purchase. As some of you may remember "Zombie" bought an original paint/interior '63 beetle a month or so ago and started this thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=433517&highlight=paint+interior I bought it from him a few weeks ago, and I've started disassembling it to prepare it for some metal work. My plan is to leave everything as original as possible, slam it and drive it.

That's my friend, who was nice enough to drive me with his trailer to pick it up.

It was funny when we backed into his driveway, Zombie said "Ohh I thought you were just coming to look at it, I wasn't expecting a trailer" and I said, "No I want it, today" haha An hour later it was on the trailer and mine.

X3, that interior is really nice. I would clean it up some, and drive the piss out of it. Cool

That's still an awesome car! Take your time and search for original panels and metal replacement parts and that thing will be back in shape in no time!

Shocked wow, I did not know about any of that rust. It's weird that the floors are so solid with rust like that.
On the bright side, most of it could be repaired without ruining the original paint.
Good luck with the build, I'll be watching.
