Hi all,
I know I need to buy the service manual, which I did just order from Amazon, but I was wondering if anyone could give me any direction as to where the heck the fuel filter is on the bug. I pulled the spare and mats out of the front and followed any lines I could but I dont see it anywhere. Finally in the 3rd image there is this black box, located on the drivers side of the boot, any ideas what that is? Sorry if these are common questions, hopefully the service manual will help.

Thanks again
Tim

The fuel filter is under the car, jack up the front, and look under the car just inside the right hand tire.
You'll see the fuel pump & filter. The pump is silver cylinder, and the filter is a white square.

That box is "i think" controls the EGR system, based on your speed( speedo cable is wired up to it)

I remember seeing that somewhere.
