The house battery under the bench looks like spaghetti. Is it even tied down? The ad also states the tank leaks when overfilled.... in the comments they are defending the decision not to get it fixed. Battery could be cleaned up and tank resealed. Looks like rust under rhe front windshield seal and ds rear seam. Makes me wonder what's under all the black stuff.
I also noticed their receipt for new wipers at oreily in 2022 lol _________________ 91 syncro westy fas tdi |

Where's the oddest BaT cars for sale thread on the internet? This one doesn't appear to be BaT ready, not even CL ready. Maybe TheSamba should step in and set a max selling price to correct the market.

I want to see more pictures of what's going on with that hitch
Cool documentation.
Rusty Jones seems to have done a decent job of protecting the undercarriage. _________________ 91 syncro westy fas tdi |

Looks like your typical old school semi-universal fit bumper hitch. I had one like it on my '55 Chevy panel. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

That went for $15,250.
At 175k miles, that seems to be high end price but it was super clean and well detailed. Also a pretty good video very well presented.
Well sold. _________________ Al Brase

I have been a long time away from beng a Westy owener, I owned a very nice 91 from (2005 to 2015), of course sold for more then I paid for it with minimal maintenance over the years.
I owned a 2002 EVC for 2 years (2020 - 2022) and although it drove remarkably well the Wiinebago conversion stuff was sad, sold that one in one day at Covid premium.
I took a look at BAT recently and was surprised at how dramatically prices for nice vans has fallen over the last few years. For the most part people are still asking crazy prices locally but it's got me curious to step back in to ownership of a well maintanined van. |
