Our digital clock does not work properly.
The hour numbers just continuously count.
Is there a fix for that?
We have a GoWesty stick on digital clock to cover it but I kinda want to figure this out haha |

Your left hours setting button is depressed, advancing the hours. And by depressed I mean pressed down, not emotionally depressed. Or maybe it is truly depressed, and trying to get your attention.
You need to jam a paperclip in the left hole, wiggle it around, and try to unjam it. Or disassemble the cluster to accomplish the same thing.
You can also use supportive language and try to engage with the clock to get to the root of the depression and help it turn a corner to a new world view.

I have the opposite problem. Both buttons are busted so the only way I can "adjust" the time is to disconnect/reconnect my battery at noon or midnight. I usually don't bother with that though because always having to do math to figure out what time it is keeps my brain sharp. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

It took me forever to figure out where the little buttons inside the holes are. Thought maybe it was broken, but the buttons sit very low on mine. Not sure if it's the same, but try poking the bottom edge of the holes.
I like the midnight battery disconnect method though. _________________ ———————

I don't think the buttons are supposed to be "inside" the holes because mine used to be flush with the surface of the console face. Now the left button is completely invisible deep inside the hole (maybe not even there) and the right button is still visible but doesn't respond to pushing in any direction.
I'm not really worried about it. Anytime I'm in the van is "fun time", the hour doesn't matter. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

| For one of my vans, I made some taller buttons that don't get lost down in the holes when you push on them to set the time. Been a decade plus at this point in time so I don't remember what I used anymore. |

I keep a couple opened paper clips on the floor next to the hand brake boot. Always ready to adjust the clock. Oh and yup, I have a couple spare clocks in my westy parts bin. _________________ '90 Westy / automatic.

| It finally occurred to me what I had used to make the longer buttons. I got some tiny plastic screws from the hardware store and shaped them to be just like the original buttons but a bit longer. |

| If you want to fix it and get the buttons back flush the the cluster you have to remove the cluster and the clock. You will find a small zip zag looking plastic part that are the actual buttons between the clock and cluster. You can GENTLY bend the buttons outward on the plastic piece and that should fix the issue and help keep tension on the piece to keep the little buttons seated correctly in position. |

I love all your posts!
I fixed it with a sewing needle!
I mean it tells the correct time now. The button is still hidden inside but I managed to get it set. |
