Here are 3 thermostats (from left)
65-70* 80-85 no name 80-85 WALHER VW

Why is the WALHER more expanded? They all tested good on the stove (samba tutorial).

Which is best for a bus in Southern California?

The one on the right has a leak; it's now scrap metal. Throw it away.

Happens to me all the time. When it expanded, it cracked and stayed open. I test them several times to make sure.

you have to test them in the bracket, otherwise you end up with the one on the right.

don't toss it! there is a guy that rebuilds them using the OE top and bottom

There is aguy here on the Samba that does rebuild them so pulease do not throw it out.
