I have a choice of front transmission mounts; the one the rebuilder used, or what I think is a NOS one. Looking for confirmation that’s the case, and if not which seems better quality. Note that there are subtle differences in size and position of studs.

Slight topic shift: in the shift rod coupler, how much flex or give is too much? I have a firm new one which seems a crapshoot on whether it shreds instantly or not, or an OG used one which flexes -just- a smidge when twisted or pulled. I can also say the hell with it, as I have a billet one :)

Thanks; i have both items you mentioned. The midmont won't go on until after the trans has been running and no issues found. That way any leaks aren't my fault :) Some people report noise/vibration with the billet coupler; some don't. I have it in case the aftermarket ones grenade consistently.

As for the nose mounts, I suspect the one w/ a part number is aftermarket, quality unknown, but if the one without a number is also garbage, that wold be good to know. Then I flip a coin.

I've been tempted to buy this setup and try it. It reads very well.
