just trying to find out what years the uncommon versions are from
in the pic, the center is what i call the "typical" #4 and #2 lower rear air deflectors.
the #4 in the upper left has a hole in it, i know that is for running the small paper hose up to the air cleaner, but what years did it come on?
the #2 in the lower right is a mirror image of the #4, what years did that come on?
i can buy the typical parts from VW mexico, but does anyone make the others new? _________________ Volkaholic |

I'm going to say the number 4, left is off of a '67.....'67's had a twin snorkle on the air cleaner.......I you want one with a hole in it, just put a hole in it. _________________ '69 Karmy, '69 Camper, Meyers clone, '65 drag bug, 10.78 @ 128 (sold it) '51 Dodge farm truck,

The #4 with hole for left side was on 40hp and 1300 too. I am not sure if it was only on fresh air 40hp or not though.

Top left is 65-67
The one you don’t have is the right side 67 only version with the hole _________________ Jesus Saves

I think upper left and lower right are off 1500 bus. 67 beetle also would use upper left, 40hp looks similar but would be shorter end to end. I put lower right style on my dual carb engines without preheat to even the airflow _________________ Pres. Rivercity VW Club www.rcvwclub.org
