Thank you! Now I know what they are called!
Are there any sellers from Canada? I am in Ontario. |

i would not buy the VW pushrod protection sheild. GoWesty makes a MUCH nicer product, heavier gauge steel, and it does not require removing the exhaust stud nut to remove. very important if the low pressure oil sender needs replaced.
concept1 sells the GoWesty product. totally worth the money.

At $109.14, it is not worth the money. The stock shield gives plenty of protection, and for that amount of money, I will gladly remove an exhaust stud nut. _________________ Sorry About That Chief.

Gladly remove an exhaust stud nut till the stud snaps off and actually you may need to slot the one bracket to fit over the stud without removing.
There is a member tencent, his company is intrepid overland or something similar. He had a different design shield. I recall liking its design. The LS one is more critical to be easy to remove for access to the oil pressure switch and wire. |

Easy to slot that hole with a hacksaw, and antiseize is very useful on exhaust parts. The aftermarket shield is just too much money.
Heck you can even make a holder like the aftermarket one with a small piece of steel flat bar, two bolts and two nuts and be many many dollars ahead $$$$$$$ _________________ Sorry About That Chief.

I still have my originals, but if I needed to purchase replacements I would strongly consider these.
