Had to post. I know,...who cares about another original 21 window but I am so proud to own it, I had to share.

What a time capsule! That thing is gonna buff out beautifully! I'm not into Deluxes much, but your Sir, have a very nice looking Transporter. Now sit down for a few minutes and tell all of us jealous folks the whole story, and don't leave out a thing!

Bill Bowman

p.s. ...and loose those "eyelids"!

This one was posted a very short time here. It comes out of ..where else but California. Don't know if it lasted more than 30 minutes. He pulled it off and we were talking for a little over 3 months off and on until it started to really happen. He did't feel like dealing with all the calls and at the time wasn't quite sure if he was going to sell.
The bus had been sitting for about 25 years. Looks like they pulled the motor and never got back around to it( common story for relics). His relative(who he sold it for) must of been a mechanic as the cargo floor was loaded with motor parts from cams and heater boxes to cranks and cases and everything in-between . So, now its mine and I hope to get it back on the road very soon.

That is a thing of beauty! I can't wait to see the pics of it all cleaned up, buffed out and going down the road.

Be sure to put new tires on that thing. It's beautiful. Sure wish I had one. And the space to park it.

Put an engine in it, polish it up and have it at the Texas Classic in April. You can do it.

Well, glad you posted...plenty of us care about a bus like this...fantastic...I wouldn't even buff it out fully, the paint is good as-is and not too heavily oxidised...a pre-cleaner and light quality finish wax will take the crap out of it and put enough protection on, as well as bringing out the paint a bit.

Your persistence paid off, great score!

X2! You should not allow a buffer anywhere near that jewel. The only thing that should touch that paint is a cadre of scantily clad cheerleaders wielding soft cotton cloths.

I'd buff the cheerleaders (if they're girls).

How can I argue with that! That should be first on my list...to find a group that are willing. I'll discard the cut and buff then and make it happen with a cleaner and wax.
thanks
