Manual trans sensor

On the back of my trans there is some type of screw sensor that has two flat blade wire connections on it. Upon removal of the trans both "blades" broke off the sensor so I need to replace it. I search the forums to find more info on it but came up empty. Does anyone know what this is? I assume its a oil level sensor? Or temp sensor? Anyone know where i can get a replacement?

Is it on the drivers side? I'm thinking reverse light switch?

Likely reverse switch, didn't think of that, thanks! Yes on drivers side.

I changed mine out because I was getting intermittent reverse lights.

Looks similar to mine but the threads look way too small. May just be decieving in picture.
