I'm friends with a guy (a proper alcoholic at that) from England (I forget where exactly) who surprised me when he said we have WAY better beer here in the US than he can get back home. It's not all Bud Light in the US.
He and I both enjoy Old Speckled Hen quite a bit though. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

Hmmm, although that is quite the set up, it certainly changes the concept of VandeCamping. TBH, it kind of reminds me too much of my first few deployments to the sandbox, and the hootches we slept in before Dicky Boy Cheneyโs buddies, KBR built us those nice hardside hootches. |

I like the beers over here. I have not tried many across the pond. I'm not even a big Guinness guy. _________________ "Jo Ann" - '83.5 Westfalia EJ22e w/Peloquin |

When we visited Ireland a few years ago (which I realize is not actually part of the UK, but immediately adjacent), we spent two weeks touring the countryside in a rented T6 (required VW van content.)
I couldn't wait to dunk my mustache into all those legendary Irish ales, but was sorely disappointed to find that everyone under the age of 40 drinks Bud Light, Miller, maybe Heineken or Harp. Only the oldsters like me, and folks in more rural pubs, favored the 'real' Irish brands: Guinness, Murphy's, Smithwick's, and others.
I consoled myself with some finer brands of Irish whiskey, which is not in short supply ... _________________ Camp Westfalia
