1979 Super Beetle Convertible....Both left front and rear not working. Both on right side work, and when using the hazard lights, everything works....

Find the wire bundle coming from the turn signal switch. Follow the black/white wire for the left turn signal. This wire should connect with a 4-way junction along with other black/white wires. The black/white wire junction is where the left front lamp + left rear lamp + left E-flasher output + left turn signal switch output come together. My guess is the turn signal wires is loose or not making good contact with the junction.
