I did a search and found nothing. I am going to add another door the side od the hanging locker cabinet. I was going to change the size of a door and wold need to move a hinge. I noticed they are riveted in place. Can anybody give me advice on how to remove them with as little damage as possible to the cabinet and the hinge.
Also, once, a long time ago in a far off galaxy, someone specified the router bit number to cut the groove for the plastic edge moulding. If that traveller is still amongst us I would appreciate that info again. _________________ 87 syncro tintop

As is the case with any rivet, I think your only choice is to carefully drill it out or use a Dremel tool to grind the head off of the rivet. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

Adding this closet door is one of my favorite mods. I’ve done it in two vans.
I’m not certain if this is the router bit you’re looking for:
“Routed out the slot for the T-molding using a Freud 63-104 router bit.”
From this thread (there are a few good builds in this thread)...

Enjoy. _________________ - Jim

Thanks all. I kept searching "cabinet door" and "cabinet hinge."
I'm going to put mine on the side but smaller than the ones in previous thread. Reason- A lot of times I've found we needed to get jackets at a rest stop while that back area is loaded with camp gear. I want a door that walloped only the top half, above the seat back. _________________ 87 syncro tintop

Ahhh, then you might be interested in the sliding closet door mod. Have you seen it? _________________ - Jim

There's some info here on replacing the hinges, as well as wardrobe mods.
It may help.

If you want access when the wayback is full of stuff, a slider is the way to go. You're going to all the trouble to cut up the wardrobe, so do yourself a favor.

I copied Frank Condelli's mod. I think he was the first to do this.
I also went with more shelving instead of the hanging locker. One change I'd recommend and which I will eventually do is to make the lower edge flush to the top of the mattress to improve access to the lowest section of the cabinet.
