Sucks to see businesses close up shop, but it cannot be too surprising given the economic climate. Not just regionally, but overall. Tough for a guy to spend eight bucks on a pint when ten will buy a sixer he can drink at home.
Same goes for wine. A short glass of basic Cabernet can be 12 bucks. A bottle is under twenty. WTF? _________________ nothing |

And the market to my opinion is oversaturated. Everywhere. _________________

Agreed. Even in my little town we now have four full breweries and multiple brewpubs. I have been to most of them, but rarely frequent any of them, and prefer just one. _________________ nothing |

tent city ipa. brought a mini home last night, and am enjoying some tonight. the glassware says molly pitcher, cause that was their original name. but, an east coast brewery also used that name, so, tent city it was, after the promoter’s tents set up to house prospective investors in his new town - atascadero, which means something like mudhole in espanol. the ipa is pale orange. citra and simcoe hops and all those two mean in terms of citrusy goodness with hop flavors from the front of the tongue to the back of the palate. no malt sweetness, just hoppy wonderfulness.

Test run on a "scrape the floor" engine for my 68 single cab. Wasn't gonna go too far with the build until I knew it would have oil pressure and no rod knocks/disappointing noises. It ran really good through two float bowls worth of fuel. Time to celebrate with a Wrecking Ball, then scrape some more parts off the floor to finish the build.

Not beer but a favourite shochu and grapefruit mix that my son brought back from Japan today. 5% and easy to drink.

Nice guys. Robbie tossed this in my fridge months ago. It was time to drink it.

There was a 4th in the sampler but it was named "Sunnyland". Each one had its own distinct flavour and alcohol % between 6 and 8.5, but I couldn't see myself sitting down and drinking a bunch of these. Having one or two with dinner was good though. _________________ *******************************

drive thru red by josephbrau.
looks as though gordon biersch is contract brewing for trader joe's. this "dry-hopped red ale" is clear and medium-deep red. the crystal (or is it carmel?) malt jumps out at the beginning, and lasts through the oh-so-sweet finish. dry-hopped with tettang hops (a member of the sazz group of classic german hops). dry-hopped? you coulda fooled me. sweet from front to back. a gift from a neighbor. _________________ 1978 Champaign Edition 2 Westfalia

Pulled the bus out of winter storage, and changed the oil. Up and running again. This was an interesting beer found at Trader Joes.
