Do you still have a bulging disc/pain/cramps in your back/legs?
I had slipped disc surgery 25 years ago that cured me for 20 years.
I had to have it done again 5 years ago, but I went home the same day this time as their technique/equipment is so much better now!
Doctor Tim Johnson on ABC News said he took Selenium to prevent cancers from starting, so we've taken 800mg weekly for the last 30 years.
You can do a Reverse Mortgage & retire if you are 65.

I must be a glutton for punishment. Last road trip required 2 car rentals to get home, and 1 plane ride to Gunnison, co to pick up repaired truck and tent camper. Wasn't nearly as funny then as it is now.

That rail you built is wicked decent. Good luck on the road trip.

So now what? Tme to clean the garage. Almost empty nesters now. Once the kids get settled it might be time to downsize. Lots of honey do's that haven't been addressed.
Time for a new mid life crisis. Last February my wife was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. Given a 20% chance to make it 5 years. Spent all last year as my wifes caregiver thru the chemo and radiation. That shit is hard on everybody. My priorities have changed.
Hopefully tomorrow I go pick up a new camper. A Jayco 264 bh 26' bumper pull bunkhouse. New owner gave me 2 more weeks vacation, time and to see some of the wonders of the world. Or north America anyways. She has 2 brothers in California, a daughter in Colorado, and no idea where the youngest will end up after she graduates.

So now what?

What caused you to decide to sell it?

When I own something, it's mine until death do us part. I know I'm quite unusual in that regard. Not many have a car they've known for 62 years. I still have the Hi Jumper Buggy I built in the mid 70s, I still have the 1961 F100 I bought in 1976 and a 1-owner 61 Falcon wagon.

I don't really expect anyone else to operate that way. But after so much heart and soul is put into a buggy, It seems odd to me that it gets sold.

Sold. It's moving up in the world. Now resides in a golf course community in the same zip code. Bet his neighbors are not as forgiving as mine. Dealt with all the Craigslist/facebook f+×ktards, it was a 99 cent for sale sign that sealed the deal at the gas station.

I hope theirs works well! I'm actually looking at another version of their thermostat for my OxyBoxer build. Looks like high quality stuff coming out of Improved. Are you running a doghouse cooler too?

Hey, and congrats on the Cancer issue.

A friend who has fought off stomach cancer for many years beyond his projected 'time' has just lost his wife to brain cancer. Cancer can be such a bastard.

I like it. I had not seen that one before. I recommend the FSM-165.

I'll be recommending it to our off road race team also. The co-drivers in all of the cars will still need to monitor the oil temp gauge and switch the fan on and off as the oil temp varies above or below 180°. Too many thermo fan switches have failed causing engine failure.

So i asked about oil stats in the hipo forum. 74 thing supplied a link. Think this is the route i will take. Warning, link might be considered buggy porn.

Been busy helping my wife kick cancers ass this year. Not much me time. 2 scans and all clear. Was givin a 20% chance of survival for 5 years. Finally got around to changing out last summers oil ( only 2k miles on it),ran the valves, and replaced the valve cover gaskets because i kept finding oil drops down low. Well, it wasn't the gaskets leaking. It was, suprise, another empi part. Spit out 3.5 quarts in under 15 seconds when it failed.

Any recommendations for a replacement oil stat? Definitely needed as the oil temp never got over 120* while on the buggy clubs fall run today. Also suspected exhaust flange leak. Replaced the copper ones on the right with the style on the left. As a bonus, the new gaskets moved the exhaust pipe back off of the engine cage, those were the style gaskets used during mock up.

Said it belonged to his deceased father in law and his wife won't let him change a thing. I'm a horrible person, I really parked next to that to help mine look better Embarassed With the#143 on his entry, it looks like they got close to the 150 they were shooting for.
Member kangaboy sent a pm on Thursday, turns out he lives on the other side of the 80 acre woods from me.
LaCasona Mexican restaurant is having a first anual show and margarita specials today 1-6 pm. Gonna mow the yard to work up a thirst.

I'm in on the regulator. Going to weld this one for this weekend.
New stainless alt strap. Will see if it lasts any longer. Didn't provide a german when asked.
Picked up some stainless braid hoses, too bad they are too short Embarassed

Yo I think I have an extra alternator strap and maybe brake lines. How long are your fronts?

I also have a new black Holley low-pressure fuel pressure regulator I'd let go for less than a chinese copy and a fuel pressure gauge that screws into the other side of the fuel inlet threads of a Weber IDF to set it right.
