So I pull the door panel off of the drivers door to tighten the wing window and I found this what appears to be some kind of build sheet taped on the inside of the panel. Anyone know if that’s what it is?

It's a computer punch card and according to google translate materialbegleitkarte means "material route card" so yeah it is some kind of build sheet like you say _________________ 1962 Karmann Ghia

Sure, but according to the part number on the sheet it is only a build sheet for the interior panel it is taped to. Can you find a date on it?

Specifically, an IBM 5081. Lots of fond memories associated with those. |

I didn’t see a date, but then again I don’t speak German. _________________ Bill

date = datum.
There is one field at the top titled datum which contains "0812" which could be 8th Dec. What is the field to the right, partially covered by camera flash? I think it says "xx19" which could be year 19something? |

It is interesting that yours has the letters "CKD" on it.
In the early days of VW foreign production (non German) they would sent kits to be assembled in another Nation, a "Complete Knock Down" kit...... CKD.

I think HAN means Hannover, and SDP is for Steyr-Daimler Puch
