Which e brake cables to install `66 single cab with `62 trans

I have a beater 66 single cab I have been driving daily for close to 30 years now and I figure it is time to finally install some e brake cables.

So the bus is a `66 but it has a small nut `62 bus transmission. Which eBrake cables should I use and is there any mods that are needed?

I've tried most of the methods described and so far the best and most reliable and user-friendly has been Glide King's solution with wire rope ferrules...

Any decent wire rope swaging tool works. I used an IWISS swager designed for crimps from 1.2mm to 3.5mm with 3mm oval copper swages.

Assuming you have stock 62 bus brakes, and not a straight axle setup, stock 62 e brake cables will work
