I have a Sewfine carpet kit and everything has fit well until I get to the the 3 pieces that fit around the back of the seat rails. I installed new pans and seat rails from KGPR about 7 years ago so I don't have the original pans to measure seat rail placement. This picture shows how the carpet fits now:
I called Sewfine and sent them a picture of what was happening and their response was that the seat rails were probably installed incorrectly.
Here is my measurement for the back of the seat rail to the rear seat vertical seat base:
Note that the tape is angled down, I figured this was the best reference point that was universal. Could someone measure their seat rails to see if I have them installed incorrectly?

Thanks for the link, I couldn't find any measure for the rear but the measurement from the cross piece to the front bulkhead is the same as mine. From the pictures his track seems shorter and ends farther forward than mine. This would make my carpet fit.
The seats fit fine, when pushed all the way back the seat track hangs about an inch past the seat rails. I would have to cut off 2 1/2 inches of the track to get the carpet to lay down, which would leave 3 1/2 inches of the seat over hanging the track.
It's a 1970 Convertible. _________________ Kevin

Thanks for the offer Dj.
I agree Sewfine does nice work. I bought the whole interior from them and everything fit well, good quality and Carol has been holding my hand during the install.
I am hoping that when I get it all glued down the gap at the tunnel will go away. _________________ Kevin

Ok thanks all. It looks like I will try and get someone to bind the carpet after I cut it to fit.
From the line drawing from Evil Fiz it appears my seat tracks are 40mm (1 5/8") too long and are back 60mm (2 1/3") too far. I am surprised nobody has come across this before considering that the CiP1 (sorry to KGPR, I just checked my paper work) rails are not standard length.
Also the line drawing shows that my rails are 5mm farther away from the tunnel than they are suppose to be. This will probably cause me a gap that I will have to hide.
Thanks again all. _________________ Kevin
