I am working to cure popping through my carbs but want to make sure the Webers have the close to the correct components to start with. I am also installing a wideband A/F meter. I pulled the heads off my 1914 cc engine and found the valves to be 44 intake and 38 exhaust. My Webers currently have:
F11 Emulsion
135 Mains
180 Airs
55 Idles
35 Venturi
I'm wondering if the venturis are too small given the 44 mm intakes. The popping is only when cruising @ low rpm so I'm assuming just the idle circuit is involved. I'm studying the Aircooled.net carb pages but want to start off with a good base setup for my engine prior to making adjustments using my new A/F gauge. Do my current carb components appear to be a good starting point? |

You'll probably have a better chance of getting your questions answered over in the performance/engines/transmissions forum.
