This is a buggy we restored in our shop.
The car was bought in the USA then shipped to Belgium.
The owner has a huge collection of Mopar cars, and he like hot cars.
So we decided to build him a toy for his holidays house in south of France.
The car as he bought it

We began to repair the body and to fill the unnecessary holes, repair cracks and add a tube for the wiring under the left side.
When working on it we discovered the original paint was a metalflake gold !
We convinced the owner to repaint it in the same shades as he initially wanted an orange color...

Time to replace the damaged chassis, we shortened another one and welded short pans special buggy.
Then is time for paint and epoxy...

As the owner is a huge fan of american cars, we wanted to give the buggy an Hot Rod look...
The design of the buggy being very kitsch, we went for a 60's style scheme, tuck and roll seat design with a glossy white vinyl, long white shaggy carpet for the fun...
The Cragar wheels are 14"in front and 15" on the rear which were widened 1.5inch to fit bigger tyres.
Wheels were fully restored and equipped with new Crager caps, tyres are BF Goodrich with red line insert, giving the buggy a Hot Wheels feeling.
The dashboard is equipped with fully restored VW T34 gauges, they have this very kitsch styling for the buggy .
A center console was fabricated to install some switch, avoiding to surcharge the dashboard.
A front bumper has been made and chromed to fill the hole on the front.
A white steering wheel from MOON was installed on a painted column and turn signal switch color coded with the interior scheme.
The engine is a rebuild 1600cc with dual Webers, the exhaust was rechromed, a lot of chromed parts are installed as the Scat valave covers, oil filter, etc.... The taillights were those initially on the buggy , the plate holder is an accessory from unknow provenance...

Another buggy we built, originally an Apal Jet (copy of the Renegade made in Belgium)
Body modified a lot, we also fitted of Corvette parts and Boca Raton cloth for the seats (Mopar cloth of the 70's) to give an US vibe to the project...
The start :
The final result :
Beware, this is IA genrated
