On my 1987 Westfalia there is a wire that goes from the hand brake through a hole under the driver's seat and plugs into there. Does anyone know what this wire is called and where I can get one as my connector has broken.

I believe you are talking about the wire to the brake light switch?

Basically it is supposed to light up when you pull the brake.

I think it is the same as the door jamb light switch.

I looked at the door jamb light switch and it looks different to the one for the parking brake.

Thank you I do see that switch but do not see the wire on either the GoWesty schematic or the Bentley Manual. Any idea what the part number may be?

no, sorry. I tried finding it without any luck.

My seatbelt light and parking brake light never worked on my van...on my list of repairs, but never quite get around to it.
