I currently have GIRLING Calipers on my 82 Vanagon and they are in bad shape. Are these the same as ATE calipers? If not can I just switch? busdepot only sells the ATE calipers. I think the calipers are bad for three reasons:
1. From time to time I can feel them grabbing on their own, 
2. My new shoes have worn a groove in my new rotors 
3. I am losing break pressure on and off.  |

Question:
Have you tried replacing the rubber brake hoses to each wheel? When they get old and tired they swell and do not properly relieve or release the pressure when you foot comes off the pedal.
Just a thought. |
