What is within the "Hotel pan" Tank on the front? I'm guessing diesel.

You’re correct, it’s the tank for the Espar heater. Now that I relocated the heater to behind the driver seat I’m thinking about mounting it on the molle panel on the middle window spot. Upfront it looks like a mounted a kitchen sink to the bus.

I set myself a reminder on my phone to remind me when I get home today.

It's been a busy week and I completely forgot about it once I left work...Haha. Sorry about that.

Tonight I completed the insulation with the exception of the driver and passengers door. I am using a synthetic insulation simply because of how porous the VW doors are to moisture. As for the rest of the bus its all about the sheep. I used almost three can of this 3M glue to help with the ceiling and on the walls I used gaffing tape. Its amazing how much quieter the bus is now.

Due to the angle that i am running the drive shafts i decided to swap out the 12pt male bolts for smooth edged allen bolts for the CV's. My concern is at high angle the edge of the bolts would wear away on the boots. They barely touch but why take the risk. So this is the third set of bolts i have installed working to get it perfect. Please learn from my errors and save yourself lots of money.

Why sit still waiting to get the key programmed. Today I drove to Mishawaka Indiana today to the RV manufacturing capital of the world. I went there to goto an RV surplus store. I bought a ceiling product that isnt wood based and is super flexible but will be rigid enough for the ceiling.

the azdel is pretty neat product our local windsor plywood has a bunch of it.
I can't stand the quality of the new door panels and clips I installed, I'm going to make some new panels with fabric and vinyl once the wife gets done sewing the cushion covers in the back.

you might consider getting a matching tan vinyl to put under those open patches on your mat, just so it blends in and doesn't eat your pad up or make it filthy over time.

I cut some pieces tonight as I work on the ceiling and wall panels. So far its really nice. As for the "its Alive'. well I am patiently waiting for a friend of mine to come by and program the new key. He was supposed to be here today but was sick so i will wait. The only other option is to tow it to a facility and I would just prefer to wait and do it at my house.

as for under the mat i totally agree, I am going to buy the curtain and rear seat material tomorrow and will get some for under the mat.

I had to move the bus outside so I can work on the interior pieces and I thought i would snap a couple of shots to get perspective of the progress. ONE this is totally for sure. It needs an awesome roof rack to balance out the look.

Looks great and I agree that a robust looking roof rack, maybe full length would be icing on the cake. It looks like you may have muffler clearance issues if you do any off roading. Any way to tuck it up a bit more?

Your correct, Full length for sure. I just picked up the last parts today to build it. Im having a local waterjet cutting outfit cut out the front fairing and side panels this week. It will be robust with an awning built into the side of it, spot lights, roof top 12v for a fan, and solar panels that flip out when parked. I dont have the rest of the solar system yet but i will work on that once i build the rack.
As for the exhaust, its on the list of items to rework once its running. I had to put some items on the back burner to focus on getting the bigger items wrapped up. I figure i will have a nice list after the first couple hundred mile for sure.
