While under the van I saw the speedo box was not mounted (fixed)
While driving I noticed the needle jump from 65-85 mph
Using my tach as reference I was travelling approx 70mph
Any ideas or fixes for this?

Your speedo cable is failing. Replace it.

There is a longer cable that bypasses the counter box if you decide to replace it. Available from all 3 vendors.

You can connect the cable to a drill to simulate moving. Also verify the cable is not in a bind or pinched by the spare.

The cable is greased inside the counter box. I would try cleaning it out and regreasing it. Maybe can test how the lower cable spins with the wheel off the ground.I've put lube down the cable from the speedo end for small bouncing.

Find a tune on the radio that matches the bouncing needle drive on.
