This is coming together quickly ! Always forget how much work lies in the detail of interior stuff and like gluing back vinyl on cardboards and stuff.... BTW what is the type of wheels you have on the bus? Did you have them on the T2A SC before ? They do look like kind of deep dish ? fit the bus very nicely. _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !

If you should find those clamps and manage to get more than two, I'll take one
I lost mine and I only need one for the slider version...

Yes, good eye, the wheels are from the T2a SC ro if i get them fit, they are 5.5x15 ET15 with 195/70 R15 C “allyear” tires to have a big profile.

I found a clamp in my spare samba roof, ony one because it’s from a sliding door bus, but here are some measurements and a picture of a original beading with a white insert in the end?
You can buy that clamps easily online, called: “onelatched” 8mm wire clips.
I used some spare inner beading to make the ends in the clamps strong.
Erich brings me a perfect passenger seat for template, i can have the cover from it.
Unfortunately my passenger seat parts gets lost on the way to the spring rebuilding shop, so some steps back….

I've been lurking around in your thread since the beginning. Amazing work MAN!
Thank you for sharing your journey. Sometimes I feel like I am sitting on a milk crate in your shop watching you build this bus. |

I dont know, unfurtably i dont see it on the pictures with my Headliner bevor i put it out.
Some work from the last days:
tried to rescue the original window frames with patina, sad that there is so much rust in the lower area, i made some rust protection and tried some new seals, the poped out in the lower area, so i ordered some other seals, i dont kow if i can save that windows...
continue the repair on the old sunroof couver, seawed some parts with hand and some other with my old machine, also just a try, we will see it it works:
i don´t have a passenger Walk through panel in the right colour, so i startet to convert one from a cargo door, tight but shoud work:
(anyone know a source to the grey material on the metal of the walk through area?)
and i see i don`t post a picture of the finished Headliner here, so here we go:

Do you mean these vinyl parts?
I used the same material as for the side panels. Should be available at the common stores, like werk34.de etc. |

I absolutely love watching your projects come together!
I am in awe of the metal shaping skills!
But I do have the same old Pfaff sewing machine as you. And, I know how to use it. Although it's not my daily driver.
So, I'm glad we have one thing in common.
Along with buses and beer!

Metal shaping is fun, i cant wait for the next one!
Realy? how cool! how did you insert the needle? hole from left to rigt or front to rear?
beer helps alot
sanded down the sliding stones to produce 0.10mm play between the stones and the driveshaft.
i dont´have any play bevore, they get nearly stuck in there.
also found a problem in the reduction boxes.
when i assembled the breaking plate the level and the paint in the hole pushed back that bolt that center the adjustment block.
the bolt hits the driveshaft!
i had luck to see that, if that bolt damaged the bearing or the sping ring you get some big troubles there...
i also done some re adjustment of the spring plates.
so slowly the back growing togeter again

Twice was because of the "stones and driveshafts" ? |
