Have had a low period off not building, on the bus.
But now the other things I’ve been doing is done, for a period.
Started building two weeks ago so have some things to show.
Some welds on the frame.
Aaa pretty bad picture of the frame.
But at least you can se more of it.
And a ruff steering .. thing.
First removed the wheel.
Then it was a couple of hours twisting and bending.
Still some minor tweaks. But pretty straight.
Sand blasting the box.
And yesterday I started to take the front beam apart.
Nothing is done but forward at least.
We will se how things go.
Try to upload as I go. |

Thanks. Trying my best. Learning as I go.
Here’s a small update.
My spot welder had a limit of 1,5-1,5mm.
The frame and the boxing in the front is just above that.
Tried it from short weld to way to long. But it didn’t work.
Guess it’s drill time then. |

Have done some reading on swapping in beetle front spindles on a BD front beam. All sounds pretty dam good.
And I got some friends running em as well.
But finding spindles was easier sad then done.
Ended up with buying a hole frontbeam.
Easier to find and I’m pretty sure it was cheaper as well.
Is it really forth on converting to disc brakes?
Took it apart last night. Today I will try to remove the drum and brakes.
I’m posting on everything right now. Sry for that.
Hope you enjoy all small updates as well. |

The front beam is pretty bad in some spots.
Don’t know if I will just get some new towers or just run the short ones.

A dark picture. Just to hide the mess in the background.
And yes, the reinforcement things standing up.
Can’t come up with the word?
Will be done later. |

Exactly.
The metal is to thin on this.
I think I need a new one.
Will give it another shot today but eh! I have my doubts. |

It doesn't look too bad on the pictures, only surface rusted.
Much respect for your efforts! You're basically create a whole bus out of some leftovers with maximum respect to everything that's left of the original. |
