As long as a Sambanista wins the bus, I shall be happy.

Agree. It’s for a great cause. Xatie’s donation budget goes to St. Jude. Mine goes to the camp. Not just for raffle tickets either. I hope they raised a lot of money for the camp. _________________ Keep on Busin'

This morning I spoke with Charlie Becker (Camp Courageous CEO and bus donor). He is very aware and grateful for all of the support and generosity
that theSamba community has shown.
As a reminder, the raffle drawing will be at 12:00 December 31 and tickets can still be purchased until noon CST on Friday 12/30/2022.
Good luck to all. |

Sorry but the winning ticket was purchased months ago. Charlie, make sure you shake up that barrel so the newby tickets end up in the bottom.
It is all for a great cause. Winning that bus would eliminate my current dilemma of owning a rusting bus with an engine making death rattles. _________________ Larry in OB

A lot of tickets were sold in the last few days------on Tuesday the count was 1164 and by noon Friday it ended at 1735 !!!!!!! So after the State of Iowa takes their pound of flesh, Camp ends up with about $160,000. Not too shabby for an old Hippie Bus, eh?
At least now I can quit worrying about where I'm gonna park the dang thing.
Happy New Year everyone and thanks for playing. |

I wasn't real hopeful on a win for the raffle.
But the real winners are. The kids that we all helped at Camp Courageous.
Thanks to all the smabanista's that bought raffle tickets and all the other folks out in the world that bought um too. _________________ I have learned over the years.

Fitting, that a young couple, like Amy and Huge won the 71.
I'm sure that they will have many happy years camping and making memories with the Westy. _________________ I have learned over the years.

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

I would have loved to have the bus.
But I am 70, and my bus driving horizon is not very long.
So glad a younger couple have the bus. May they have many happy memories in it _________________ Larry in OB
