Looking to replace the breather air hoses on my '67 engine.
Is there any advantage to using silver hoses over the stock black hoses?
ID of the silver air hose? ID of the large black air hoses? (car is not close by)
I prefer the stock look.

Black hose is correct for stock look. No performance advantage one way or the other color wise. Black will look cleaner even when dirty, so that is a cosmetic advantage.
The spark wires should be black, not blue. It looks like the manifold is black on the ends of the heat risers , I think it should be grey.
You have a nice looking nearly stock looking engine. even the fuel pump I think is correct style.
Nice body color too.
But Id certainly use black hoses for the more authentic look, and use black plug wires too.

PS who knows if the distributor cap color should be brown or black for stock??? I dont know.

I assume you mean carb pre-heat hoses, not breather hose? The latter is always rubber, maybe with cloth braid overwrap.
The foil carb pre-heat versions hold up a little better if your engine bay gets oily. The "paper" ones often have a foil inner layer, but the cardboard outside can get oily and is not really cleanable like the all-foil ones are.
I use foil for heater and carb pre-heat for that reason. |

Early cars had blue wires from factory, I don't know for sure about '67.

How early a car had factory blue wires? Which years?
I have never seen blue on a stock restored Bug, nor Bugs even 50 years ago, except for aftermarket as far as I can recall.
What shade of blue was stock, light blue, dark blue?

1964 for sure as the low miles '64 has them

On my 1967 1500 engine, the smaller hose is 1 inch and the larger is 2 inches. As for silver vs black, it is a matter of preference. Below are pics of my engine with (old) black and (now current) silver hoses. I prefer silver aesthetically. Your taste may be different than mine.
