95 Evc Blink Fault Code for Check engine light is 1344. I checked the BAUM Tools VAG OBD1 Blink Fault Codes chart and it is not shown in their list.
Anyone know what it is?

In looking at the Big Blue Bentley Book for the 2.5L engine, did not see the 1344 code listed. (Page F 01-56)
Searching yielded this: P1344 Ignition Coil Power Output Stage 2 Short to B+

2212 - Throttle Position Sensor (G69)
2222 - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (G71)
2312 - Engine Coolant Sensor (G62)
2322 - Intake Air Temp Sensor (G42)
2142 - Knock Sensor 1 (G61)
2342 - Heated O2 Sensor (G39)
2234 - Supply Voltage (Alternator or Battery)
2341 - O2 Sensor Control (G39)
2144 - Knock Sensor 2 (G66)
2314 - Engine/Trans electrical connection
2411 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation System (N18 or G98)
1111 - Engine Control Module Faulty (J169) |

Thing is, that a coil could short out in any of a thousand ways internally - it could range from full short, zero inductance/conductivity... to a partial short with a slightly off-spec output... which could result in weaker ignition spark... but still enough spark to run/not misfire, etc. |

As said before, a failed (or out of spec) coil will exhibit a variety of symptoms - from poor performance, to no spark - the whole range.
Quick and easy to replace, and worth having around.
