What exactly are you showing? The video looks correct. It's the opposite movements on the tabs that actually cancel the stalk.

Try moving the little lever the opposite direction. |

The spacing between the turn switch assembly and the bottom of the steering wheel needs to be quite close, otherwise the steering wheel tab misses the turn switch fingers. _________________ '71 panel, now with FI

Apart from the tab on the steering wheel missing the plastic tab on the switch because of the wrong spacing,..
The steering wheel may also be fitted 180 degrees out, so the cancelling tab only works part way through a fairly sharp turn where you turn the wheel 180 degrees, rather than returning to straight ahead. _________________ Ancient vehicles and vessels

I fear you are correct
Thanks for all the help guys!
The cancel tab is on the left side of the steering wheel, I can hear the click when the wheel is turned so the spacing doesn't seem to be the problem as I can't get it to cancel when I do it off the column with my finger.
I finally hooked the battery back up this morning and I have to wiggle the lever to get the turn signals to turn off when in the middle position. also when you pull the dimmer lever it honks the horn and doesn't activate the high beams so its grounding out somewhere in the switch..
I suppose I just got a lemon, hopefully the next one works properly. |

whelp.. I got another one and it doesn't work properly either.. So I did my best to restore the old one, replaced all the wires and re-ground the catches for the lever and it seems like its going to work for now. |
