When I thought I Never own a Notchback
After owning one for 29 years my Seablue 1964
Love Came Back with a Flashback
Had this opportunity on this Low VIN Number
With so Many interesting Early Early Parts
Few Never seen before
July 24 this Notchback came out to Daylight after Storage for over 22 years
At ISP West pre Owners Alex ISP and Shin Mukai
If you attended on any ISP BBQ you probably saw it hidden way back
Well is on my Hands Now and I will GO slow on this One
Here’s some pictures

WOW, I'll be watching this one. I'm surprised the rod let go like that. I've never seen one snap the studs like that, and I've blown up a couple of VW engines in my life time. That'll park it for 20+ years. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Classic Brands. Classic Quality.
Not all parts are made the same. NOS OE/OEM parts made mainly in West Germany, Early Germany, and Early Brazil are where VW produced the best quality parts and best fitting products.

This is a very early, very correct unmolested example for sure. Stay tuned on this to see what the first ones were like. _________________

Very nice!
Feel free to PM me if you need the early electromagnetic pilot jet with the manual over-ride swing handle. The one in the pics here is much later. _________________ "Criticism comes easier than Craftsmanship"

-Is that phrase used for the 40 hp-based Type 1 head which has the flat/horizontal flange for the intake manifold mount?
-Did the left head clean up well with bead blasting, etc from the corrosion in the #4 chamber? I've had a few Type 1 heads with corrosion like that and they cleaned up very well with a brass bristle wire brush in a drill.
-Did your machinist balance the new rods better than the 7 gr variation per the weight markings? |
